Women entrepreneurs have also made it big on the list of India’s billionaires. Here are the women who have made it to the Forbes list of top 100 richest Indians in 2017. Some of them are self-made entrepreneurs while some are the part of major business families.

Chairperson of O.P. Jindal Group, 67 years old Savitri Jindal is the richest woman in India. Placed at no. 16 in the Forbes list of top 100 richest Indians, has a net worth of $7.5 billion.
With $3.45 billion, Gupta family, a stakeholder of 47% shares in pharma company Lupin is at 40th rank on the list of top 100 richest Indians. Manju Desh Bandhu Gupta, the wife of the founder of Lupin, is the non-executive chairman of the company.
Vinod and Anil Rai Gupta
72 years old Vinod Gupta is listed at number 48 in the Forbes list with her son Anil Rai Gupta. Vinod Gupta is the wife of Qimat Rai Gupta who founded Havells. They have a fortune worth $3.11 billion.
Indu Jain, Matriarch of Jain family, is the next in country’s most rich women. The Jain family controls the Bennett, Coleman & Co, one of the largest media groups in the country. With $3 billion net worth, they are at 51st rank on this list.
Amalgamation Group Family
Running the tractor manufacturer company TAFE, Mallika Srinivasan, niece of the chairman of Amalgamation group is also among India’s women billionaires list. The group has the net worth of $2.48 billion.
With a fortune of $2.19 billion, Leena Tewari who is the chairperson of USV India is also among the richest Indian women. She is ranked 71 on the India rich list 2017.
Quite a popular founder of Biocon, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is also among the billionaires of India. She is at number 72, one place below Leena Tewari in the 2017 list with a net worth of $2.16 billion. She is known as India’s richest self-made woman.
