She Took Over Her Father’s Job! The Response

The Group of 20, or G20, is among one of the most well-known international forums there is. Recently, Donald Trump, President of the United States, participated in the meeting alongside many other influential and powerful world leaders, including Justin Trudeau (Canadian Prime Minister), Angela Merkel (German Chancellor), Vladimir Putin (Russian President), and many more. However, when Mr. Trump had to step away briefly during the meeting to attend to another issue his daughter, Ivanka Trump, took his place.

Svetlana Lukash (West Wing Reports, Russia) captured the moment and took to the President’s favorite platform of releasing statements, Twitter. Shortly after the photo was posted, both outrage and support were sparked from both sides of the issue. On one side, people were quick to point out that Ivanka has no qualifications to be sitting in on a meeting of such caliber. “Unelected, unqualified, daughter-in-chief” is how one user referred to her,

while another tweeted, “The G20 is not take your daughter to work day”.

However, others defended Ivanka, including her own brother, Donald Trump Jr. He also suggested an alternative, which doesn’t sound all that much more appealing. “If the left is so outraged about Ivanka sitting in for a few minutes, maybe they’d be happier if I sub in for a while???”

He also stated “She is VERY smart & eloquent. You can belittle her all you want w your snark, but we all know 1 on 1 she way out of your league.”

Angela Merkel also defended the President’s actions. Supporters have also pointed out the relevance of Ivanka’s business enterprise in the topic of discussion at the meeting. President Trump defended his actions in the best way he knows how; by deflecting to slam his presidential campaign opponent’s daughter. “If Chelsea Clinton were asked the hold the seat for her mother, as her mother gave our country away, the Fake News would say CHELSEA FOR PRES!”

While Trump admits giving our country away, it still seems to me that the President should not have his non-political daughter filling in for him at an international forum when he can’t be bothered to stay the entire time.
